Gauge is a black male. He weighs 80 to 85 lbs with great muscle tone. His conformation is excellent and has a blocky style head. He is a mirror image of his Sire GMPR Goose Creek’s Holy Smoke. He has a very calm disposition and makes an excellent family dog, yet maintains an aggressive behavior in the field and is an excellent swimmer.

Gauge can no longer be used for breeding due to an injury he suffered while breeding a female. Even though he is no longer involved in my breeding program, I use him as a measuring stick with every dog I have in the kennel.

Gauge has been a natural pointer since he was a puppy. When I purchased him, he actually pointed a quail at the age of 9 weeks. He has continued this behavior and is a very staunch pointer in the field. He was very trainable and has an incredible desire to please. Gauge has become an unbelievable upland bird dog and a joy to hunt behind. He is also a great waterfowl dog who loves being the in duck blind.
