I enjoy hearing feedback from my pups, and I know that many potential puppy buyers are interested in hearing what other buyers have said about their dogs. I have many references available from previous buyers. Here are just a couple of things people have said about their dogs, that have shown me that I am producing quality pups. Any more feedback about a puppy is always appreciated and you can email me Updates at prairiepointlabs@hotmail.com

Joshua in Pennsylvania This dog is just amazing in the marking and retrieving ability and he is exhibiting at just barely seven months. He is through force fetching, and is finishing up casing. I plan to begin running him in some derby stakes this spring. In the mean time I am running various hunt tests with Hunter. This past weekend we ran the first two legs of the NAHRA Started test. Hunter was the youngest dog running the test at six months and three weeks. We will be finishing his Started title at the end of September at the next NAHRA even in PA. Then we will turn around and run for his AKC Junior Hunter title in October & November.
Working with the quail has began to bring out his natural point…in fact about a month and a half ago he actually threw his first legit point on a quail. This dog is a pure joy to train and has become the favorite pet of the family as well.

I purchased a dog from you about a year ago. I just wanted to let you know that he is a great dog. He has a great attitude and loves to hunt. I just got back from a hunting trip in North Dakota and he did far better than I expected. He has a great point and loves to retrieve. I have attached a photo. I am thinking of getting another dog and was wondering if you had any litters lined up.

Levi in Indiana
Ben is doing awesome in the field. He has been retrieving ducks, geese, and a few doves. He has been the best hunting companinion that a mand could ask for. he is around 90lbs of pure muscle and keeps getting bigger. This spring I am going to start him on field trials. I think he will do pretty good. Here is a picture of one of our latest hunts. This is on the Wabash river out of 41 ducks in three days he only lost 2 and that was the shooters fault.

Just thought I send you a couple Pics of my puppies first duck hunt. He’s been a real great dog so far. Hopefully this weekend here will get him out and see if we can get him some pheasants. I’ll send some more pics when I get some more. If I here of any body else looking for a lab I will defiantly give them your name and website to get a hold of you about future litters.

Brent in Iowa
Anyway I just want to let you know how very ticked I am with these two pups, Sierra reminds me a lot of her mother by the looks. She is very stock and aggressive in the field. On her second day of opening weekend at approximately 8:05 am she went on her first rock solid point. I was on my cell phone trying to get some guys in the right spots for posting when I seen her lock up. She held the bird in place for approximately a minute then when I released her she dove in and bumped up a hen. As the season sent on she just kept improving. The other pup Cheyenne is all legs. It took her a couple of birds before she showed signs of pointing. However she has a nose like you can’t believe. Anyway I just want to thank you again for both of these two dogs Neveah x CP Gauge

Chase turned out to be a very good hunter the first season. We shot over 100 birds over both my dogs and Chase had about 25 solos and was pointing hard the last three weeks of the season.

We had our pheasant opener this weekend, and Duce had a pretty amazing weekend. To start it off she got sprayed by a skunk on Friday night. We went out Saturday and got 12 roosters. Duce saved us some birds. I took her out solo on Sunday and she really shined. She made two "rock solid" points, her first two. One of them she actually caught the rooster before it could bust out. I couldn’t have asked for more, Duce made my weekend. Have a great hunting season. Shocka x CP Gauge

Maryln in Iowa Rowdy, we just can't say enough about him! He is a wonderful dog! Loving, would sit in your lap if given half the chance, loves water, loves children and the pick-up better not leave without him. He is extremely intelligent, a fast learner and loves to sit on your feet. He is a very large dog. 25 inches to the top of his shoulder, approx. 80 pounds He knew how to sit, stay, lie down, shake hands, and come (most of the time) by the time he was 4 months old. He is a pheasant dog. That is the only thing he has been hunted on. He started pointing at 6 months and now is performing beautiful points! His total bird count this year is 50 birds and only 1 lost one. If there's a bird, he'll find it. Everyone that has seen him hunt are amazed he is only a baby yet and so advanced in his hunting skills. Berretta x CP Gauge

Chad in Nebraska Anna is an amazing dog, retrieves great and points hard. Last weekend she actually held a point across the river while I walked about 50 yards down river to find a spot to cross and get to the other side to get a good shot. Of course it was a hen after I made the whole track, and still got my feet wet, but I mean she had to be on point for over 2 or 3 minutes. She is an amazing dog and I will defiantly be contacting you in another year or two for another pup. Nevaeh x CP Gauge

Dennis in Iowa I just wanted to update you on Bodie's progress. I hunted every weekend during the season with him. Never had any points but he had some great retrieves. He has great marking ability. I decided to join a hunt club after the season to get him some more work on his own. The weekend of Jan 14, we shot 6 pheasants and 5 chuckar. He hunted great but only had one flash point. This past weekend it was like someone flipped a switch.....we shot 6 pheasants and 3 chuckar and he pointed everyone. It was truly fun and exciting to see him point. He held all of the points fairly long as well. Berretta x CP Gauge

Clint in Texas The pup is doing awesome. She's down here in Mexico as we speak. We came down for a turkey hunt weekend, but we brought the dogs anyway. I have her and my Shadow Mountain lab with me.. She is a real go getter and is a bold bold puppy. She's the perfect combination of being independent and attached. She seems to have a good nose and a real love for birds. She hasn't pointed yet, but I'm sure it is just a matter of time. I am very impressed with the bloodline you've got going. As the son of a hunting guide goes, I've been around 1,000s of hunting dogs, and I can already tell she has everything to be a special one. You should be very proud of her, and for what it is worth, I think you should consider a repeat breeding. Kate is just a great, smart pup. Mesa x GMPR Rebel

Steve in New Mexico Just wanted you to know that the lab I bought from you a couple of years ago (Bo) is doing great. As his second season of quail hunting is coming to an end he has out performed my expectations. He finds, points live and wounded birds and makes great retrieves. Great duck retrieves also. Loves the water, no matter how cold. Neveah x CP Gauge

Carry in Indiana Just wanted to let you know my dog is doing real good, I shot some quail over him and he made some real nice points! The last day of the season he pointed a big covey and held them real well! TOO bad we didn’t hit a single darn one! Shocka x Jackson

Brian in Minnesota Dan - just thought I'd let you know Bandit had his first point (since I've had him) today! There's a nature preserve about a mile from my place, and today he locked up for about 15 seconds! He's also been very good about crate training & he picks things up pretty quickly. Nevaeh x CP Gauge

I thought I would drop you a note to let you know that Kota has just passed his 3rd & 4th Hunt test in the HRC this past weekend. He preformed very well & has now earned his 1st title – SHR. I am very proud of Kota he is a very good looking dog, loves to train, and willing to perform any task that I ask of him. He is a great dog, hunting partner, and family pet.

Ken in Minnesota My pup “Grace” (Mesa x Gator) is turning out to be an awesome dog. She is still young but we put some pigeons out for her last weekend and she pointed all 4 birds. The last two she held for probably over 30 seconds before she broke point. I cant wait to get her out hunting wild birds this fall. Mesa x 4xGMPR Gator

Lori in Conneticut Annie is great!!!! She has been hunting up a storm. We took her on a preserve hunt with a friend of ours and between the 2 dogs we were able to find 11 out of 12 birds!!! She is even retrieving them back now. She has the best nose for pheasant that I have ever seen. Most of it is all on natural ability too. Berretta x CP Gauge

| Doug in South Dakota
I bought a black male pup from you this past spring, just wanted to let you know how well Tucker did in the field at 8 months of age…He pointed consistently and would hold the points for over a minute at a time. He is also an excellent retriever and did pretty good in the duck blind for a young pup.

Bryan in Wyoming Just wanted to give you an update on the pup I got from you last December. Jaeger is doing great. I couldn’t be happier with his disposition. He is out going, but regularly checks with me to see if things are ok. He is a little lighter fox red color than Mesa. He goes 80 lbs and has long legs. Not sure about the pointing yet. I don’t have access to live birds around here. My son saw him point once. I am sure it will come once he gets on birds this fall. Regardless, I couldn’t be happier with him and I am looking forward to both pheasants and waterfowl this fall. I can’t wait until he gets his first shot at fetching a goose. Mesa x 4xGMPR Gator

Randy in Texas Tank really turned it on this season. Its basically his first full hunting season and I dont think I have ever had as much fun quail hunting as I did this year. It was awesome to see a lab out point an English pointer. Nevaeh x CP Juice
